Acoustic, Electric, Bass, and Classical Guitar Lessons with Chris Smith
Mr. Smith teaches guitar for students of all ages and levels. He holds a Bachelor of Music concentrated in Guitar Performance from Samford University. Since his graduation in 2005, he has been teaching and playing music professionally.
In addition to performing and recording in the Birmingham area, he teaches at Hunter Street Baptist Church and Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
Mr. Smith has a love for all styles of music, and teaches his students the value of learning to read music, as well as having fun with modern pop and rock songs.
His primary goal is that the student develops a life long love of music as well as the guitar. Mr. Smith teaches lessons on Friday afternoons, in the rehearsal room behind the Sanctuary.

Beginner Acoustic Guitar Lessons with B.J. Price.
Having majored in Instrumental Music Education, Mr. Price received his B.A. from Jacksonville State University with a principal in trumpet.
B.J. Price is the Director of the Conservatory and also the Associate Minister of Music and Worship here at First Baptist Church Trussville where he leads worship for the contemporary worship service, Sunday mornings at 10:45.
Before going into full-time ministry in 2003, Mr. Price, taught school as a Junior High Band Director and part-time Youth Pastor and Worship Leader.
He is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus and the gift of music with all those around him. He and his wife Elaine have three sons and have been at First Baptist since November of 2004.
His lessons are taught in the Music Suite (below the Sanctuary), and are given on Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
For first-time students, a suggested beginning age for guitar lessons is 7-9 years old.
